Subculture’s churrasco sandwich
In an Instagram submit Friday afternoon, the homeowners of Subculture City Delicacies and Cafe introduced that the Nolensville Pike restaurant will shut on the finish of the month. Over the course of 9 years, the restaurant earned many accolades — together with the Scene’s personal Better of Nashville awards — for its churrasco sandwich and vegetarian scorching rooster substitute.
The final week of operation lasts from Tuesday, Might 27, to Saturday, Might 31, in line with the Instagram caption.
Cooks and brothers Pablo and Javier Bonacic kickstarted the restaurant and its authentic menu in 2016, and co-owned the restaurant together with different relations. The brothers had been born in Chile, and Latin American influences — together with different inventive twists — helped set up a menu that impressed meals critics over time. The Scene’s personal Chris Chamberlain described it as a “mad-scientist” tackle Southern delicacies, full with a scorching rooster ramen.
“This isn’t goodbye ceaselessly,” reads the Instagram submit. “It is merely the closing of a good looking chapter we’re proud to have written with you. Thanks for being a part of our journey, our household, and our story.”
Subculture’s Smyrna outpost will hold working on the regular hours, per the Instagram submit.
