Smokin’ Thighs Is Closing | Bites


Unhappy information this weekend: After a decade in Wedgewood-Houston, Smokin’ Thighs is closing its doorways. The restaurant’s remaining day of service can be Sunday, Oct. 13.

Readers might recall that Smokin’ Thighs proprietor Matthew Carney died on July 4, about two weeks after being struck in a hit-and-run within the car parking zone of his restaurant. After Carney’s dying, a suspect within the case was apprehended and charged with prison murder.
